Curtis Gillespie is the author of five books of fiction and non-fiction. His journalism has appeared in The Paris Review, The New York Times, The Walrus, New Trail and many other publications. For his magazine writing on the arts, politics, society and travel, Gillespie has won seven National Magazine Awards in Canada, including a record-tying four awards in 2014. In 2010, he co-founded the narrative journalism magazine Eighteen Bridges, which he edits and publishes, and which has received twelve National Magazine Awards. In 2017, Eighteen Bridges was named Magazine of the Year by AMPA, and in 2018 Gillespie was named Editor of the Year. He lives in Edmonton with his wife and their two daughters.Back
