Susan Fraysse Russ joined MPA—The Association of Magazine Media in March 2015 as Senior Vice President of Communications responsible for public relations, member communications, conferences, sponsorships and research tools for the magazine media industry.
Susan joined MPA from Reader’s Digest Association (now Trusted Media Brands) where she spent 15 years in communication leadership roles, most recently as Vice President of Communications and President of the Reader’s Digest Foundation. There she led for global internal communications, product publicity, corporate communications, executive communications, event planning, facilities, community relations, employee volunteering and corporate giving.
Prior to RDA, Susan was Vice President of Corporate Communications for ChaseMellon Shareholder Services and oversaw all internal communications, community affairs and public relations. At the MONY Group, her communications responsibilities included internal communications, national advertising, local public relations and marketing communications.
A graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Communications and English, Susan has worked as a writer for Turner Broadcasting and MTV Networks. She serves on the Boards of Trustees for Hudson River Museum and Bergen Performing Arts Center, and volunteers with a number of organizations.Back
